It is an open secret that Alberta, a key Energy Power in Canada, has long been unhappy with Federal government policies around energy and infrastructure.
So much so, that several grassroot movements thoughout the Province are openly advocatring and pushing for a Referendum on whether or not the resource abundant Province should remain part of Canada.
In response, premier Danielle Smith launched an Alberta Next Panel – a series of townhalls, meetings and a platform where concerned citizens could share their perspective on the current status.
